[BUNJANG] Septarian Nodule Dragon Stone / 수석- 귀갑석

This is a Septarian Nodule, also known as a Turtle Shell Stone due to its unique markings resembling a turtle's shell.

Internationally, it is known as Septaria, or by the nickname Dragon Stone due to its distinctive appearance.

Formation Process:
Approximately 50 to 70 million years ago, during the Cretaceous period, mud balls (carbonate nodules) at the bottom of seas or lakes underwent drying and dehydration. This process caused them to shrink, creating radial cracks within. Yellowish calcite, aragonite, and other minerals filled these cracks, forming the beautiful polygonal patterns seen today.

해외에서는 셉타리아(Septaria) 혹은 독특한 외형 때문에 드래곤 스톤(Dragon Stone)이라는 별칭으로도 알려져 있습니다.

형성 과정
약 5,000만 년~7,000만 년 전 백악기 시절 바다나 호수 밑바닥의 진흙 덩어리(탄산염 단괴)가 건조 및 탈수 과정을 거치며 수축하여 내부에 방사형 틈새가 생겼고, 그 갈라진 틈 사이로 황색의 방해석(Calcite)이나 아라고나이트(Aragonite) 등의 광물이 채워지면서 이 같은 아름다운 다각형 문양이 만들어졌습니다.
