This is an Eames Aluminum Group Soft Pad Lounge chair and Ottoman, model EA416 and EA423, originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1969. This particular set dates to 1975 and the listed price includes both pieces. It features chocolate brown leather upholstery on its seat and has coordinating brown Alexander Girard fabric on the back of chair. This model has a four-star cast aluminum base, and has a padded sling seat that affords a very comfortable lounging experience.
The lounge chair measures 35 inches long, 24.75 inches wide and 35 inches high. It has a seat height of 19.75 inches. The leather is in relatively good condition with some rubbing along edges and significant creasing, and the seat sags in the front. The aluminum arms have been freshly polished, though the base has some scratches and nicks. The ottoman shows a similar amount of use. Overall, this set is in good vintage condition with light wear.
