This Coordinator is used in Commercial Buildings, Door Hardware for Fire Rated Swinging Double Doors. A Coordinator "coordinates" the sequencing of the double doors closing. The Inactive door needs to close first, then the active leaf. Normally used on Double Door openings that are fire rated - due to each leaf is required to be self latching and self closing. With this Coordinator, The long arm holds the active door open until the short arm is depressed by the inactive door.Meets or exceeds ANSI 156.3, Type 21 requirements (when used with carry bar)Coordinator Mounts on the underside of the head and there isn't interference with closer feet.Great for retro-fit openings.Non Handed.
